Rice Pudding

Grandma Moe's Original Recipe



  1. Combine rice, water, and salt and bring to a boil
  2. Reduce heat and cover, cooking until liquid is absorbed (about 9 minutes)
  3. Stir in 2 1/2 cup milk
  4. Cover and cook on low flame for 1 hour
  5. Add butter
  6. Combine eggs, sugar, and remaining milk in a separate bowl
  7. Stir in a little rice mixture and mix
  8. Add new mixture to original mixture
  9. Add vanilla
  10. Cook entire mixture on low flame, stirring constantly, until thickened
  11. Transfer pudding to a deep serving dish
  12. Sprinkle cinnamon on top
